When Life Gets Busy... A Gentle Reminder for Us All
It’s been a little while since I last wrote, life got busy—maybe you can relate? Between work, coaching, workshops, and everyday responsibilities, I found myself needing to pause, breathe, and realign.
And that’s exactly what I want to talk about today.
So often, we push ourselves to keep going, even when we’re stretched thin. We tell ourselves we “should” be able to manage it all. But here’s the truth: balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly—it’s about knowing when to pause, reset, and give ourselves grace.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, let this be your reminder: It’s okay to step back. It’s okay to prioritize your well-being. And it’s definitely okay to pick things back up when you’re ready—without guilt, without pressure, just with kindness for yourself.
A Simple Mindfulness Reset:
The next time you feel overwhelmed, try this: the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise.
Take a deep breath and notice:
- 5 things you can see around you
- 4 things you can touch
- 3 things you can hear
- 2 things you can smell
- 1 thing you can taste
