Clarity and balance for your mind

Part 2/3 Spring Renewal

Declutter Your Mind –for Clarity and Balance

This weekend, I finally tackled a long-overdue task: organizing my closet for spring. At first, it felt overwhelming—so many clothes I had held onto “just in case.” Some no longer fit, some weren’t my style anymore, and others I had forgotten I even owned. But as I sorted through them, I realized how much space was being taken up by things I no longer needed.

It made me think: How often do we do this with our minds?

We carry old worries, self-doubt, and endless to-do lists in our heads, convincing ourselves we’ll “get to them later.” But instead of helping us, this mental clutter weighs us down, keeping us distracted and exhausted.

A Biblical Reminder on Letting Go

In Philippians 4:8, we’re encouraged to focus on what is true, noble, and worthy of praise. But how can we do that when our minds are crowded with worries, fears, and unnecessary distractions? Just like an overstuffed drawer, our thoughts need sorting—releasing what no longer serves us and keeping what aligns with God’s peace.

The Science of Mental Clarity

Research in Nature Neuroscience shows that writing down lingering thoughts reduces stress and improves decision-making. When we take the time to “brain dump” all that’s on our minds, we free up space for clarity, creativity, and peace.

This practice has been truly transformative. Instead of letting worries swirl endlessly in our minds, we can take a simple yet powerful step—writing them down. When we put our thoughts on paper, we create space for clarity. And when we bring them before God in prayer, we invite Him to guide us. This applies for both professional and personal settings.

Let’s Try This Together:

📝 Take 5 minutes today to write down everything on your mind. Then, reflect on these questions:
âś… What do we need to take action on?
âś… What can we let go of?
âś… What do we need to surrender to God?

Decluttering isn’t just about organization—it’s about making space for peace, purpose, and what truly matters.

I want to begin with something honest: I know I have been quieter than usual lately. And that hasn’t been by accident. Behind the scenes I have been in a deep season of reflection, realignment, and listening to my own heart. Over the past...

What If Balance Isn’t About Time — But Boundaries?
Boundaries that empower- Join me live 1st of July   Have you ever said “yes” when you really meant “no”? Or found yourself stretched thin, trying to meet everyone’s needs — except your own? You’re not alone. So many high-achieving women I work with feel exhausted not because they’re doing too little — but because they’re doing too much of what isn’t aligned. And the root of that? A lack of empo...
